protest doily series

I began this protest doiliy series of repurposing a Victorian era symbol of refinement made by women and girls, by cutting designs of megaphones & women’s rights symbols, and voting rights into the centers of small traditional doilies. I have since expanded into creating my own border patterns. The sizes vary from 10” to 42” diameters.
